Small forward Tyler Brockman joined West Coast in 2023 after three seasons with Hawthorn.

Hawthorn career[]

After playing in Subiaco's 2020 colts premiership, Brockman was drafted by Hawthorn with pick 46 (six picks before West Coast took Luke Edwards with their first pick of the draft).

Brockman made his Hawks debut in the opening round of 2021 and played 11 games, kicking 10 goals. He missed virtually all of 2022 with a shoulder injury, but returned the following year to play another 15 games.

At the end of the 2023 season, Brockman sought a return home to WA for family reasons and was traded to West Coast for a pair of late picks.

West Coast career[]

Brockman had a difficult start to his Eagles career. Dropped after six unremarkable games, he then travelled to Geraldton for a funeral where he was involved in a single-vehicle car accident which resulted in charges, and a club suspension from AFL duties. Eventually recalled after the mid-season bye, Brockman played another four games before suffering a syndesmosis injury.
