One of Swan Districts' most decorated players, ruckman Travis Edmonds was drafted by three AFL clubs but played just one game at AFL level.
Hawthorn career[]
Edmonds was drafted by Hawthorn in the 1991 draft, but remained in Perth where he won Swan Districts' best and fairest award. After being delisted by the Hawks he was picked up by West Coast in the pre-season draft.
West Coast career[]
Edmonds spent the 1993 season on West Coast's list, but could not manage a senior game despite again winning the Swans' club champion award. At the end of the season, the club was forced to reduce the size of its playing list and Edmonds was delisted.
Fremantle career[]
After another solid year with Swan Districts, Edmonds was added to Fremantle's playing list as a zone selection when the Dockers entered the competition. The ruckman played one early-season game for Fremantle in 1995, and was delisted from his third club at the end of the year.
Post-AFL career[]
Edmonds played on with Swan Districts until 2005, winning more best and fairests in 1997, 2000 and 2001 to bring his total to 5, and captaining the club from 2000 to 2002. After retiring from the WAFL he turned out for South West club Carey Park, where he added to his trophy cabinet with two more best and fairests.[1]
