The speedy Tarir Bayok was the club's first ever Next Generation Academy selection, qualifying due to his Sudanese heritage, but did not play a senior game.

West Coast career[]

After playing colts for East Perth, Bayok blitzed the 20-metre sprint at the State draft testing but went undrafted in the national and rookie drafts, meaning that West Coast could add him to the rookie list as a Category B selection.

Bayok made one appearance in West Coast colours in the pre-season JLT Series, before spending the majority of the 2017 season as a midfielder in East Perth's reserves side, breaking through for a senior debut late in the year.

After showing good form with the Royals early in 2018, Bayok was elevated to the senior list and travelled to Sydney with the team as an emergency. However, his form tailed away in the second half of the season and he finished the year in the reserves, before being delisted at the end of the season.

Post-AFL career[]

Bayok remained at East Perth in 2019 but made just one league appearance. He crossed to Swan Districts for the 2020 season.
