Subiaco

Long the home of football in Western Australia, Subiaco Oval (for sponsorship reasons known as Domain Stadium, and before that Patersons Stadium) was the main home ground of West Coast since its entry into the then-VFL in 1987, as well as the home ground of Fremantle since its inception in 1995, until it was replaced by a new stadium at Burswood for 2018.

Until 2000 both the Eagles and Dockers played night games at the WACA, but with the addition of light towers at Subiaco the WACA ceased to be used as an AFL venue. West Coast's training and administration facilities are also based at the ground. Subiaco Oval also hosted the WAFL Grand Final each year as well as other sports including international Rugby Union matches, and large concerts.

At 191 metres, Subiaco was the longest ground in the AFL. The ground had a capacity of approximately 43,500, which made it less able to cater to large crowds than the bigger venues in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.

Perth Stadium took over from Subiaco as host of AFL games in WA from 2018, and the ground is currently being decommissioned.
