(268th Eagles player)
South Australian midfielder Stefan Giro appeared for West Coast as a top-up player early in the 2022 season.
Fremantle career[]
Drafted by Fremantle in the 2018 rookie draft, Giro spent four years with the Dockers for 11 games. After being delisted at the end of 2021, he opted to remain in Western Australia, signing with Subiaco.
Subiaco and West Coast career[]
In 2022, to ensure that clubs would have enough players to field a side each week, the AFL permitted sides to name 20 players on a "Covid contingency list". Giro was one of West Coast's listed players, and was one of the first called up to play in the midst of an availability crisis, picking up nine touches against the Kangaroos. That was his sole appearance for the Eagles, spending the rest of the season at Subiaco.
