(Reserves player)
North Beach (Perth FL) 2021-2022
North Beach footballer Shannon Lucassen joined West Coast's standalone reserves side for the 2023 season.
West Coast career[]
After playing juniors with Upper Swan, Lucassen spent the 2020 season with Mundaring in the Hills league before joining North Beach in 2021. He tried out for West Coast ahead of the 2023 season, impressing while filling in during AFL squad match simulation.[1]
Lucassen played almost every game in 2023, kicking a team-high 21 goals including a six-goal haul against Subiaco late in the season, equalling the club record. He was one of just four players to play every game in 2024, and again led the team in scoring. Named a co-captain alongside Jack Eastough for 2025, Lucassen moved up the field, leading the team in tackles and bringing up his 50th appearance late in the year, the second WAFL Eagle to do so.
