(29th Eagles player)
Explosive forward Shanae Davison was West Coast's second pick in the 2020 draft.
West Coast career[]
Originally from Broome, Davison moved to Perth and joined friends at Noranda, before progressing quickly through the ranks at Swan Districts.[1] On being drafted, she was described as a forward with good goal sense and strong overhead skills.[2]
Davison made her debut in the opening round of 2021 but was in and out of the side in her first year, playing five games before suffering a hamstring injury shortly before the end of the season. She added another four games the following season. During the 2022 pre-season, Davison was a standout on the track and appeared primed for a breakout season, but injured her ACL during the pre-season clash with Fremantle and was ruled out for the year.
Returning in 2023, Davison built into the season strongly and was rewarded with her first career goal as well as a maiden top-ten finish in the Best and Fairest.
