Halls Creek product Sam Petrevski-Seton joined West Coast in 2021 after five seasons with Carlton.
Carlton career[]
A highly-rated midfielder as a junior, Petrevski-Seton was an under-18 All-Australian as a bottom-ager in 2015 before being drafted by the Blues with the sixth pick in the 2016 draft. He missed just four games in his first four seasons with Carlton, but fell out of favour in 2021 as he was used in the unfamiliar position of half-back. At the end of the season, after 94 games, he requested a move back to WA and was traded to West Coast for a third-round pick.
West Coast career[]
Petrevski-Seton's first season as an Eagle was up and down. He played 14 games and was trialled in a number of different positions but was unable to nail down a regular spot. His second season was much the same, not helped by ongoing quadricep issues and two suspensions for rough tackles (bizarrely both on the same player - Carlton's Alex Cincotta). At the end of the season, he was one of a number of uncontracted players released.
