West Coast careened to an easy win over an under-strength Richmond to record their fifth victory on the trot, their best winning streak since Mick Malthouse's final season in charge. The Eagles had contributions from players all over the park, with Ben Cousins running rampant through the midfield and Glen Jakovich and David Haynes proving effective targets up forward. Phil Matera kicked five goals from limited chances to pass Chris Lewis and move into second place on the Eagles' all-time goals tally.
