"Paul Harding's dominance over James Manson in the ruck was a telling factor early, but West Coast's small brigade were being shaded.
A gallant second term by the Lions paved the way for an upset victory. At half-time, a solid Fitzroy defence had restricted the Eagles to just three goals in near-perfect conditions.
