West Coast's brief winning streak ended with a loss to the Suns in Queensland. The Eagles started well and stayed with the home side for a half, but Gold Coast took over early in the third term, kicking six straight goals to threaten to blow the margin out. To their credit the Eagles held on in the final term to keep the margin at a respectable 37 points. Jake Waterman continued his purple patch with four goals and skipper Liam Duggan had a team-high 26 disposals.
