From the papers[]

The Age[]

"With nine minutes remaining of yesterday's match, Adelaide led by 29 points, before West Coast, going with a strong wind, scored three goals within four minutes, then added three behinds to finish so near, yet so far.

The Eagles were left to rue what might have been if Andrew Donnelly's set shot from just outside the goal square had not been touched by man-on-the-mark Ben Hart 90 seconds before three-quarter-time.

For most of the willing struggle, though, Adelaide enjoyed a greater share of the play and used the ball more skilfully, and should have won by much more."[1]
