From the papers[]
The Age[]
"The Eagles' defensive work was reminiscent of their premiership sides of 1992 and 1994, suffocating the Lions' forwards and setting up many attacks of their own. Peter Matera collected 30 possessions in a blistering best-on-ground display across the centre and at half-back.
Brisbane was in trouble when it trailed by four points at quarter-time after kicking with a strong breeze but tackled with a ferocity missing in previous weeks to stay within 10 points at the main break.
Half-forward Fraser Gehrig teased the Lions with his blistering pace, running around defenders to bag three important first-half goals.
He continued to provide a target in the second half and beat four opponents in finishing with five goals."[1]
