From the papers[]

The Age[]

"Everything was apples for West Coast and only turnovers for Fremantle. Nothing illustrated it better than the incident at the 13-minute mark of the last quarter when Troy Longmuir bolted clear from Fremantle's last line of defence and tried to draw Fraser Gehrig, only to handball the ball straight to him.

Gehrig strolled 10 metres and calmly slotted through West Coast's 21st goal. Maximum Fremantle effort for minimal result and vice versa for the Eagles.

Morrison led the Eagles' charge from midfield and had three goals before half-time. David Wirrpunda played with his customary dash from defence and Michael Braun and Ben Cousins both wielded a heavy midfield influence."[1]
