From the papers[]

The West Australian[]

"When Rowan Jones goaled in the first 24 seconds of the match, West Coast appeared on the way to delivering the thrashing most expected, especially when David Wirrpanda added his first just three minutes later.

But the Tigers produced some fighting spirit and innovative coaching to boot the next six goals and surprisingly turn the tables to hold a 21-point lead at the two-minute mark of the second quarter.

Much of the momentum came from widely underrated forward Richard Tambling, who kicked all of his team's four goals in the first term after being unusually matched early by West Coast defender Daniel Chick.

But Eagles coach John Worsfold turned to his best small defensive stopper in Adam Selwood and he soon shut the No. 4 national draft pick of 2004 out of the game."[1]
