From the papers[]
The Age[]
"The Crows beat the Eagles at their own game, grinding down the disciplined Perth side with a watertight defence and continuous hard running.
The Crows managed just three goals for the first three terms, but a lift from Tony Modra up forward was decisive.
Modra, returning after a week-long absence, kicked three of the Crows' four goals in the final term to finish with a promising return of 4.5 after his early-season troubles.
Pittman had 20 possessions of his own and dominated the hit-outs against Ryan Turnbull."[1]
Canberra Times[]
"West Coast, unbeaten until yesterday. held a narrow lead for much of yesterday's game and was 10 points clear with one quarter to play.
But the Crows finished over the top of the Eagles, with four goals to one in the final quarter.
Star Adelaide forward Tony Modra was the hero with four goals, three of them in the final quarter."[2]
