From the papers[]

The Age[]

"Fitzroy went into the match with a four-man forward line, which backfired as the Eagles always managed to have extra men in attack.

There were touches of magic from all the Eagle forwards with Brett Heady (four goals), Chris Lewis (one) and Peter Sumich (three) capitalising on the strength and influence flowing from Spinks.

Heady, the elusive half-forward who lost his premiership touch for almost all of 1993, was back feeding off the bottom of the packs like a hungry shark, and when he snapped the ninth, 10th and 11th goals in the second term, the match fizzled out.

Roos, by his sheer persistence, and Kieran Sporn, who had to handle a number of tagging tasks, did well for Fitzroy, along with half-back Brad Boyd, who was probably the team's only winner in his battle with Craig Turley."[1]
