From the papers[]
The Age[]
"West Coast was a slight chance at the main break but it took the Kangaroos just a few kicks to change that. Much of the crowd left for the shelter of their homes as North raced away to a 52-point advantage within 11 minutes of the resumption.
Quick goals to Mark Arceri (2), Hepburn, Alistair Clarkson and Peter German made it a non-event. German and wingman Wayne Schwass, who ended with 30 possessions apiece, set up many of the forward thrusts.
When West Coast did go forward, the North backline returned the ball with ease. John McCarthy, Dean McRae, Michael Martyn and company did as they liked."
