From the papers[]

The Age[]

"An accurate St Kilda held a 13-point lead at half-time after registering its first miss for goal deep in time-on in the second term. West Coast had had two more scoring shots, including several points that should have been converted.

The Eagles allowed the Saints back into the contest midway through the second quarter when they led by seven points after booting three consecutive goals.

Errors in the defensive half by Phillip Read and Jakovich allowed Max Hudghton and Everitt to kick easy goals, then Everitt booted his fifth for the half courtesy of the softest free kick so far this round."[1]
