After unveiling the 2006 flag before their home crowd, West Coast took most of the match to shrug off a dogged Collingwood outfit. As with the previous week it was stars Chris Judd and Daniel Kerr leading the way, while Mark Seaby again stood up in the absence of Dean Cox, and former Crow Tyson Stenglein was also among the side's best in his 50th West Coast game.

From the papers[]

The West Australian[]

"In a game in which Collingwood were honest and committed but lacked some of the finishing skills of the home side, it was the close-in work of Priddis which helped West Coast in some rugby-style scrums promoted by the Pies to slow down the game.

His work ethic is reflected in a personal tackle count of 10, the highest in the game. He hurries his kicks under fire but it detracts little from his willingness to compete.

Daniel Kerr, Chris Judd, Tyson Stenglein, Brett Jones and Michael Braun represent the present with levels of performance that vary little from week to week.

Judd and Kerr have become the Starsky and Hutch of the AFL, creating a headache for umpires to separate them for top Brownlow votes in the opening two games of the season."[1]
