West Coast remained firmly entrenched at the bottom of the ladder after giving up an early lead to the Roos on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The game was tight throughout but six final-quarter North goals saw them get home and keep their finals hopes alive. Veteran Andrew Embley ran hard all day for 33 possessions and Callum Wilson kicked a career-high four goals.

From the papers[]
The Age[]
"Notorious for struggling in the last quarter of games, the Eagles struck twice early in the final term to give them a chance to grab their first win at home since round seven.
But North booted the next four goals to ice proceedings, with the forward trio of Sam Wright, Aaron Edwards and Ben Warren together bagging 10 for the match.
The Roos went into the final quarter with a three-point lead on the back of two bizarre goals in time-on of what was an arm wrestle in the third term.
Warren powered away from Ashley Smith and gathered the loose ball on the boundary line. Despite crashing into the behind post, he had time to get up and slot his second goal of the day."
PerthNow[]
"The Eagles went into the first break with a handy 18-point lead and soon extended that advantage to four goals when Wilson successfully dribbled through his second.
Spurred on by Harvey’s shinboner spirit, North fought back with the next two goals before some sloppy disposal resulted in majors to Selwood and LeCras, effectively cancelling out the visitor’s hard work.
North’s poor decision-making was best highlighted in the second term when Wells failed to spot Edwards in a vacant goal square.
But the WA product made amends later in the quarter when he charged through a tight pack at the goal mouth to put the Kangaroos within two points at half time."
