West Coast fell to their ninth straight defeat with a loss to the finals-bound Fremantle. Hoping to repeat their shock Derby win from early in the season, the Eagles came out swinging and led for most of the first half, but a now-regular goalless quarter in the third term put paid to any hopes of another upset as the Dockers turned up the pressure. Tim Kelly had a team-high 32 possessions and Harley Reid had 29 touches despite close attention from the opposition.
