From the papers[]

The West Australian[]

"The significant break came midway through the second quarter as Naitanui’s two goals split by another major from Darling stretched the lead out to 34 points.

Naitanui’s highlight reel started seven minutes into the quarter as he leapt in front of Vickery across half forward to snatch a one-handed mark and hit the ground running.

He followed up his superb tap work in the middle by pushing forward, twice outpointing opponent Luke McGuane in one-on-one contests.

Naitanui would have had three goals to half time if not for badly missing a set shot from just 25m out."[2]

The Age[]

"Kerr was simply brilliant yesterday.

He had 13 possessions in the second quarter, 10 in the third and 34 for the match. His work in and around the stoppages was sublime.

In Dustin Martin (23 disposals), Richmond has its own clearance machine. But one of the key differences between the two sides was that Kerr had hard-running youngsters Andrew Gaff and Luke Shuey as targets for his 25 handballs.

The Eagles also had Nic Naitanui, who again showed why he is the most raw excitement machine in the competition."[3]
