Led by a superb 7-goal effort from full-forward Quinten Lynch, the Eagles did what they needed to do against Richmond, winning comfortably in the end despite the Tigers closing the gap on a few occasions. As he had done several times already during the season, Daniel Kerr stood up in the absence of Chris Judd and Ben Cousins, dominating the clearances and finishing with 31 possessions. Mark LeCras supported Lynch with 4 goals and earned a Rising Star nomination.

From the papers[]

The West Australian[]

"West Coast's forward line functioned as well as it has all year, with Ashley Hansen and Quinten Lynch taking 21 marks between them in the duo's best combined showing for 2007.

Hansen worked vigorously up the ground to provide a target for the half-backs while Lynch's seven goals came because he was too strong, too fast and too energetic for Joel Bowden.

Marks inside the forward 50m though were not restricted to the key-position men. On his way to a four-goal haul, Mark LeCras took five marks, Brent Staker took seven (though not all in the forward 50m) and Adam Hunter contributed a hat-trick of goals all from pack marks during raiding missions from defence.

West Coast also continued with the ploy of using Dean Cox and Mark Seaby deep in attack at various times."[1]
