From the papers[]

The Age[]

"Sumich and McIntosh kicked six goals each as West Coast stretched to 13 its winning sequence under lights in Perth.

With that pair dominating up forward, Peter Matera, Dwayne Lamb, Chris Waterman and early on Don Pyke controlled the midfield.

Whenever the Bears did manage to venture forward, a rock-solid defence, marshalled by captain John Worsfold, rebounded with precision to a slick midfield.

The Eagles have a liking for the fast WACA surface. Matera, in particular, was brilliant with his dashes around the wing."[1]
