From the papers[]

The West Australian[]

"West Coast's four points didn't come through the work alone of brave acts from Selwood, who kept Daniel Wells quiet, Chick, Kerr and Waters.

It came from the silk department, run by Chris Judd and Ben Cousins. Though Kerr's skills were not as slick as usual, Judd and Cousins moved into a gear that the Kangaroos didn't have in the final term.

When all those around him were stumbling towards goal in the final term, Cousins cut a swath through the Roos defence to score the team's 13th goal, the defining moment of the match."
