From the papers[]
The Age[]
"A gallant North Melbourne led at every change but was overrun in the last quarter, when it was held goalless as the Eagles booted five.
Glendinning gave the Western Australians the lead for the first time 30 seconds into the last quarter when he shook off Ian Fairley and ran on to a bouncing ball to convert from deep in the right forward pocket.
Twelve minutes later, after Eagle Dean Turner had goaled from a free kick, Glendinning stretched the lead to 18 points after a superb one-handed mark in the goal square under strong pressure from Fairley.
He finished the match with six goals, taking his tally for the season to 58."[1]
