2 D.Solomon (FRE)

In the 26th Western Derby, West Coast trailed for most of the match but threatened to steal the lead in the final quarter, until a late flurry of goals sealed the premiership points for Fremantle. Dean Cox dominated the ruck in the absence of Aaron Sandilands and small forwards Mark LeCras and David Wirrpanda provided flashes but West Coast had few other contributors in Quinten Lynch's 100th game and Daniel Chick's 100th Eagles game.

From the papers[]
The Age[]
"Ryan Crowley shut down Chris Judd and Dean Solomon won the most contested possessions in the game with the courage and commitment he has shown for most of the year.
In a game that refused to die, West Coast played catch-up football for most of the day, clawing to within four points in the third term but never able to bridge the gap that essentially was created under the war games in the first term.
Fremantle enjoyed run from half-back, setting up goals to Antoni Grover, Ryan Murphy, Matthew Carr and Farmer before West Coast finally settled.
In a game the Eagles started as raging favourites, their first goal didn't come until the 19th minute mark when Judd and Adam Hunter helped Quinten Lynch find freedom, and the goals."[1]
