From the papers[]

The West Australian[]

"With a midfield dominated by Daniel Kerr, Cousins, Braun, Sam Butler, Seaby and Judd, West Coast sliced through the harried Adelaide defence. Kerr's influence was immense. His handballs now sit confortably alongside the work of past master Greg Williams and ageing star Michael Voss.

Strong in the mainframe, Kerr has the unique capacity to extricate his way from congestion, corkscrewing his way from bear hugs and groping tackles before releasing the ball to a teammate.

His two goals in the third term iced his game against Simon Goodwin, the man highly fancied for this year's Brownlow Medal.

While Kerr kicked the team's 15th and 16th goals, the Eagles had more targets than the Royal Show shooting gallery, with Ashley Hansen, Quinten Lynch and Brent Staker providing big targets while Ashley Sampi beavered away at ground level."
