From the papers[]
Canberra Times[]
"West Coast Eagles reignited the flickering embers of its title defence with a 50-point win against Collingwood in the Australian Football League matchg yesterday.
An aggressive opening half laid the foundation for a win which signalled the Eagles are starting to stir from a mid-season slumber as they disposed of an inept Magpies outfit 18.21 (129) to 11.13.(79).
A typically cautious Mick Malthouse would not be drawn into declaring the Eagles were back - but most who witnessed the clinical display at Subiaco Oval would have thought as much."[1]
