West Coast engaged in a solid battle with the Kangaroos for more than three quarters, before the Roos were able to pull away by kicking the final eight goals to blow out the margin. Sav Rocca, Wayne Carey and Byron Pickett kicked 17 goals between them on a big day for the North forward line.
