From the papers[]

The Age[]

"With captain John Worsfold withdrawing late because of a groin strain, acting skipper Michael Brennan led by example, taking a strong mark and kicking the Eagles' sixth goal 26 minutes into the second term.

Defender Brennan had followed down his opponent Craig Devonport.

One minute later, Brennan cleared from across half-back to Peter Wilson, who in turn found Worsfold's replacement, Brett Spinks. He kicked truly after the siren.

Earlier in the second term, West Coast centre half-forward McIntosh, who had been safely held by Danny Frawley, chipped in for two open goals after crumbing the packs."[1]
