2 A.Didak (COL),
1 D.Swan (COL)
West Coast hit a new low, falling to the bottom of the ladder for the first time since 1989 with a thumping defeat at the hands of Collingwood. The Magpies kicked six goals to nil in the first quarter and while the Eagles fought back to an extent in the second term, Collingwood made sure of the result with a dominant third quarter. Matt Priddis led West Coast with 30 possessions and 7 tackles, and Mark LeCras showed his class with three goals.

From the papers[]
The West Australian[]
"The Eagles had four more clearances but, aside from a second-term ascendancy, lacked inside 50 power and too many of their midfielders earned possessions in areas of the ground which did not make them dangerous.
There were some positives.
Brad Sheppard proved with his vision, courage and class that he will be a star, Pat McGinnity was dogged against Leon Davis, Nic Naitanui was better with 14 possessions, 17 hit-outs and four clearances, Scott Selwood showed impressive leadership at times and Tom Swift showed some of the signs which made him a highly-rated junior.
But for all that, the Eagles have fast become the AFL's most popular course of road kill."[1]
The Sunday Age[]
"In two minutes of football in the third term, Didak ripped West Coast apart with three brilliant goals, each one different. The first was a dribbler from the boundary with Daicosian spin, the second a flying soccer kick from the goal square, the third drilled from 45 metres after he stepped around an opponent. Didak punched the air as his drop punt swung right to left and squeezed inside the right post. He is the silken streak of the working-class team.
Similarly, Scott Pendlebury might have an argument about the superstar thing. Pendlebury danced and feigned and baulked and spoonfed teammates all night; the same could be said for Dane Swan, whose amazing work rate brought him 38 disposals and two goals. Collingwood's multi-faceted midfield dominated, with Dayne Beams (32 disposals) also prominent in one of his best games of the season.
West Coast could not get its hands on the ball enough; only the prolific Matt Priddis (30 disposals, 13 contested balls) made an impact in close."[2]
