The Eagles were celebrating Michael Braun's 200th game and the return of Chris Judd from injury, but didn't look like the Eagles. That was partly because the players were wearing a heritage guernsey modeled on the WA state of origin jumper from the 1970s, but mostly because they exhibited very little desire as they fell to an inexperienced Brisbane side. Judd and Daniel Kerr worked hard in the middle as always and Mark LeCras played a lone hand up forward, but few other West Coast players could hold their heads up at the end of the match.
