Two of 2001's strugglers put on a forgettable display on a wet and windy Adelaide night. The Crows pulled away from West Coast with a three goals to nil third quarter and although the Eagles fought back in the last term the Crows were able to hold off the charge. Ben Cousins had a lazy 36 possessions and Mark Merenda kicked two goals including another Goal of the Year contender.
