West Coast's poor run continued, embarrassed in a 10-goal loss to the Bulldogs at home. The Eagles were competitive until halftime but managed just three goals thereafter, the Dogs romping away in the final quarter to keep in touch with the top four. In the absence of Darren Glass, acting captain Beau Waters was his side's best with 29 possessions and 10 marks, and stand-in fullback Eric MacKenzie kept Barry Hall reasonably quiet.

From the papers[]
The West Australian[]
"The Bulldogs made their first big statement of the game in the opening six minutes of the third term when they all but sealed the contest.
Goals to Johnson, Brennan Stack and Jarrad Grant pushed the visitors to a 28-point lead, and the Eagles looked shot.
A recovery of sorts came after goals to Kennedy and the second from Strijk, dragging the margin back to to 15 points but in this low-scoring scrap, West Coast needed to score in a hurry.
When Hahn chimed in with his first, a snap from the boundary, the Dogs had a 23-point lead and resumed control of the match."[1]
The Age[]
"Former Lion Bradd Dalziell played his best game for the Eagles with 29 touches and one goal and Brad Sheppard and Waters were prominent, but West Coast looked lethargic throughout the contest and never truly troubled the Bulldogs.
West Coast debutant Andrew Strijk kicked a goal with his first kick to open proceedings but fellow debutant Koby Stevens was seeing stars a short time later after copping a kick to the head while diving on a loose ball.
The Bulldogs led by just one point at quarter-time but sublime work from Giansiracusa, who had five scoring assists by half-time, saw the visitors take control in the second term."[2]
