On a windy and rainy night, West Coast broke a four-game losing streak and upset the reigning premiers at Subiaco thanks to some final-quarter heroics from second-gamer Nic Naitanui. The Eagles trailed at three-quarter time but three spectacular goals from Naitanui, who had been quiet to that point, helped them come away with a 20 point win. Quinten Lynch led the ruck admirably in the absence of Dean Cox with 23 hitouts and 26 possessions, assisted by Naitanui, and Matt Priddis racked up 35 touches.
