From the papers[]

The Age[]

"McGuane, with a typical hardworking 30 possessions (25 kicks and five handballs), soured his contribution by kicking six behinds and one out of bounds, with just one goal.

But his second-half shutdown of talented Eagles midfielder Dean Kemp was a big factor in the win.

Kemp and Craig Turley were both solid contributors for the Eagles, who lacked creative forward play in the wet conditions.

Midfielders Chris Mainwaring, Dwayne Lamb, and defenders Michael Brennan and Worsfold deserved a better result for their efforts."[1]
