From the papers[]

The Age[]

"West Coast's depleted ranks were evident yesterday, after a week during which only 18 players were fit to train last Tuesday night.

Skipper Worsfold had been a doubtful starter because of a thigh injury - but he played with great commitment after coming on in the second quarter. Fraser Gehrig has been battling the flu virus sweeping the club, but played well in defence against Darryl Wakelin and, for a while, against the fired-up Jason Heatley.

St Kilda's big Peter Everitt reigned over Grgic in the centre before he was shifted up forward. Ryan Turnbull was called to battle Everitt and Stewart Loewe in the third quarter. He gained six possessions for the term, kicked a goal, and set the scene for a six-goal to two mini-revival, which Harvey's late contribution brought to a halt."[1]
