Subiaco youngster Rosie Deegan was one of the first two players signed to West Coast's inaugural AFL Women's squad, along with Mikayla Bowen.

West Coast career[]

Deegan was selected in the 2017 All-Australian under-18 side as a key forward following an impressive performance for the Allies against Victoria. Also an elite junior basketballer, Deegan represented Australia at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Argentina.

Having trained with West Coast's academy for some time, she was announced as an inaugural signing in January 2019 ahead of the club's entry into the AFLW in 2020.[1] However, she elected to pursue basketball with Davidson College in North Carolina, and did not appear for the Eagles.
