An undermanned West Coast lost heavily to Adelaide in the club's only full pre-season hitout. Unable to select a number of first-choice players including co-captain Oscar Allen (knee), Matt Flynn (hamstring), Dom Sheed (foot) and Liam Ryan (hamstring), the Eagles lost every quarter as the Crows coasted to a 67-point win. Tim Kelly warmed up with 26 touches and a goal and high profile rookie Harley Reid showed his promise with 20 possessions.
