West Coast career[]
Picked up by West Coast in the 1991 draft, Freeman spent 1992 at West Perth, unable to force his way into the Eagles' lineup despite leading the Falcons' goalkicking. He was delisted at the end of the year.
Post-AFL career[]
Freeman remained at West Perth for several more seasons before returning to Victoria where he played for Frankston in the VFA, later taking up coaching.
