(281st Eagles player)
Victorian small forward Noah Long was West Coast's final pick in the 2022 national draft.
West Coast career[]
Originally from Echuca, Long suffered a broken collarbone early in his draft season, before returning to kick three goals against Western Australia to catch recruiters' eyes. On being drafted, he was described as hard and tenacious with clean hands.[1]
Belying his low draft status, Long was a standout during the pre-season and earned a Round 1 debut. He continued to impress throughout 2023, playing 19 games as a pressure forward and finishing in the top 10 of the best and fairest. Given Luke Shuey's number 13 jumper for 2024, Long played seven of the first eight games before suffering a knee injury that ruled him out for the rest of the year.
