Former Adelaide captain Nathan Van Berlo joined West Coast as an assistant coach ahead of the 2018 season.

Playing careerEdit

Originally from West Perth, Van Berlo played 205 games for the Crows after being drafted in 2004. The hardworking midfielder was appointed skipper in 2011 and served in that role for four seasons. He retired at the end of 2016.

Coaching careerEdit

Van Berlo spent 2017 on Adelaide's coaching panel as a development coach before returning to Perth to take up the role of midfield and stoppage coach, replacing the departed Dean Cox.
