Former Geelong premiership player Mitch Duncan joined West Coast as an assistant coach under Andrew McQualter for the 2026 season.
Playing career[]
An East Perth junior, Duncan was linked to West Coast with their picks in the 20s in the 2009 draft, but slipped through to Geelong at pick 28. He played in Geelong's 2011 premiership, winning a second flag over a decade later in 2022. He retired at the end of 2025, having played 305 games in the blue and white.
Coaching career[]
Duncan was announced as an assistant coach under McQualter, taking charge of the backline, shortly after Geelong's season ended with a loss in the 2025 grand final.[1]
