(53rd Eagles player)
Claremont midfielder Mikayla Western was West Coast's final pick in the 2022 AFLW draft.
Fremantle career[]
The sister of Fremantle forward Joel Western, Mikayla made a single appearance for the Dockers as a top-up player during the 2022 season, before being drafted by West Coast.
West Coast career[]
Western played eight games in her first season as a midfielder and pressure forward, until suffering a nasty arm injury against Geelong while laying a tackle. She returned in 2023 but struggled for form early in the season and was dropped, although she returned the following week.
