An All-Australian as an under-16, Pearson was picked up in the 1999 rookie draft. He shifted from West Perth to Claremont under the host club arrangement in place at the time, and played a handful of games for the Tigers before being delisted at the end of the year.
Post-AFL career[]
Pearson played a further five games for Claremont in 2002.
