(64th Eagles player)
North Melbourne (VFL) 1987-1990
South Fremantle (WAFL) 1992-1993
Sydney (AFL) 1994
The tall, rangy Hepburn originated from Claremont and was recruited by North Melbourne as part of the Victorian clubs’ raids on the WAFL as the Eagles were being formed.
North Melbourne career[]
Hepburn played 56 games in four years at the Roos, being thrown forward, back and into the ruck, before requesting a trade home at the end of the 1990 season.
West Coast career[]
Hepburn played the first two games of the 1991 season but then only played three more late-season games. He fared only a little better in 1992, playing 8 games across a couple of stints in the seniors, as a key defender and occasional ruckman.
After announcing an early retirement and spending 1993 on an extended overseas trip, he was delisted at the end of the year.
Sydney career[]
Picked up by Sydney in the 1993 national draft, he played 7 games for the Swans.
