East Fremantle ruckman Luke Strnadica was added to West Coast's rookie list ahead of the 2022 season, and played two senior games.

Fremantle career[]

A Winnacott junior, Strandica was picked up by the Dockers in the 2017 rookie draft and spent two years at the port club, but spent that time playing in the WAFL with Peel Thunder, leading the Thunder's goalkicking in 2018. He was delisted at the end of that season.

West Coast career[]

Strnadica returned to his junior club East Fremantle and became one of the WAFL's top ruckman, earning selection in the WAFL Team of the Year in 2021. With the departure of Nathan Vardy, West Coast invited him to train over the following offseason and, despite spending much of his time nursing an injured foot, Strnadica was signed as a supplementary rookie on the deadline, along with Patrick Naish and Tom Joyce.

Amidst the carnage of the 2022 season, Strnadica made his AFL debut against Port Adelaide, also playing the following week against Richmond. In an illustration of the disheveled nature of the club, he appeared in Jack Williams's number 34 jumper as the supplier could not provide his allocated number 45 in his size.

Strnadica struggled with injury and illness throughout the year and made just five WAFL appearances, with youngsters Bailey Williams and Callum Jamieson surpassing him in the pecking order. Late in the season the club announced that he had stepped away for personal reasons and would not continue with the club.
