South Australian defender Luke Edwards was West Coast's first pick in the 2020 national draft.
West Coast career
The son of dual Adelaide premiership player Tyson Edwards, Luke was entered into the general draft pool after the Crows elected not to nominate him as a father-son selection. West Coast, having traded out of the early rounds of the 2020 draft, selected the Glenelg product with the club's first pick, which did not come until the 50s. On being drafted, he was described as a defnder with clean hands and good vision as well as the ability to push up into the midfield.[1]
